Crawfish Classic


Oakbourne Country Club's outstanding tennis facility features 12 lighted Rubico tennis courts and 2 lighted hard surface courts waiting for singles or doubles play, clinics, tournaments, camps, group or private instruction or for you to just practice! We also have a well-stocked Tennis Pro Shop and a comfortable deck with a view of the tennis courts, which includes a scenic overlook of the Vermilion River. 

The active, year-round tennis program at Oakbourne has experiences for the entire family. We offer a variety of teams, leagues and clinics for all levels of play, private and group tennis lessons, as well as frequent mixers, events and tournaments— not to mention an incredibly active Junior Tennis Program!

TENNIS STAFF

Janusz Conradi is a native of Poland and lives with his wife Toni and three kids in Lafayette.  Janusz played for the Ragin Cajuns, where he obtained degree in Sports Management. In 2012, he joined the Oakbourne Coaching Staff and received the prestigious USTA certification as a Specialist in High Performance Coaching. On July 1st, 2021 he became Director of Tennis at Oakbourne Country Club.



Brandon Nicholson who was one of our tennis pros from 2004-2007 has rejoined our Oakbourne tennis staff in 2016. As many of you remember, Brandon was one of the top ranked juniors in the state of Louisiana as well as the South. His junior career included memorable wins over Andy Roddick, Robby Ginepri during national junior events. Brandon was a key player of the LSU tennis team from 1999 to 2004. He has 13+ years of teaching experience at Oakbourne, University Tennis Center and New Orleans Country Club. Brandon and his wife Katie have a son, Caleb and a daughter, Emmy.
